About
I'm Rhyzome, a Latino singer and frontperson based in Toronto and originally from Chile. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies at Humber College, after completing my Jazz Music Certificate there in 2025.On stage I front rock and salsa projects, connecting with audiences and moving comfortably between English and Spanish. Off stage I come from an engineering and research background: I'm an Industrial Engineer (Universidad de Concepción, Chile), did international research at Dalhousie University through the ELAP scholarship, and have spent years working internationally on data and analytical projects.I also published academic work on the meeting point between engineering and the arts, which is pretty much how I live my life.
